The cycle tour operator has been based in historic Clyde for 10 years now, and is locally owned and operated by Duncan, Lisa and Fletch.
Their Merida conventional bikes and e-bikes are super comfortable, easy to ride, and perfect for the Otago Central Rail Trail's terrain. There are a range of tours on offer, from "one-day wonders" to multi-day rides combining the Great Rides in Otago.
With three great retail, workshop and hire locations at Three Parks in Wanaka, 6 Barry Avenue in Cromwell and 25 Holloway Street in Clyde, Bike It Now! can cater for all your cycling needs, from that new purchase to advice on local rides.
One-day wonder
The Poolburn Gorge section is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Otago Central Rail Trail as it cuts through the Raggedy Range that separates the Manuherikia and Ida Valleys. Highlights of this section of the trail include the 37m high Poolburn Viaduct, two tunnels, the trails longest bridge and Central Otago stunning landscapes.
Your "one-day wonder" begins at the Clyde Bike Shop on Holloway Street with your bike fitting and tour briefing at 9am. You are then trasferred to Auripo to begin your ride back towards Clyde. You will have all day to enjoy this amazing trail, and plenty of time to stop for a bite to eat and something to quench your thirst. Should you want a shorter distance pick-ups are available from Chatto Creek Tavern.

Four day self-guided tour
This is one of the most popular bike tour packages, completing the original Great Ride which has been open since the year 2000. You get to cycle the trail over four days (around 4-5 hours cycling a day for someone with average fitness) and Bike It Now! takes care of everything else. Choose from standard, superior or boutique accommodation options.

The ‘Big Loop’ bike tour
The Big Loop Cycle Tour is about 300km of great cycling and four totally different environments, with a twist.
This trip encompasses four of magical Central Otago cycle trails - the “original Great Ride” the Otago Central Rail Trail, the spectacular Roxburgh Gorge and the riverside Clutha Gold, including the new extension to Waihola. Finish with the latest Great Ride, The Lake Dunstan Trail.
Itineraries can be customised to suit, from six to 10 days of epic scenery, delicious food, lots of pampering and masses of fun.
