Great Taste Trail’s winter warm-up
There’s never a bad time to visit the Nelson region thanks to chart-topping annual sunshine hours and a year-round holiday vibe. So get yourself ready for a feast of fabulous cycling featuring coast and countryside, cafes and breweries, galleries and more.
Making winter even more attractive is the Gentle Cycling Company’s new Winter Warm-Up three-day trip – with free electric bike upgrade! It’s the perfect way to get active, blow away the cobwebs, and make the most of crowd-free hot spots and beaut winter riding conditions. The odds are on for crisp mornings, blue skies and crystal-clear air, with snow-capped ranges as a stunning backdrop almost the entire way.
The Winter Warm-Up offers a classic Tasman's Great Taste Trail tour, following the coast and winding through the countryside between Nelson, Mapua, Motueka and Kaiteriteri, with two days gentle riding over three leisurely days. Along the way, enjoy craft beer, wine and delicious food, see local art and craft, then snuggle down in comfortable accommodation in the evenings.
The free e-bike upgrade available on this trip makes riding an absolute breeze. Your tour also includes all transport, accommodation and logistics including luggage transfers, personalised trip notes and the option to add on extras such as a day trip into Abel Tasman. Winter is a wonderful time to visit the National Park with low visitor numbers, excellent wildlife-watching and amazing visibility up and down the coast.
This Winter Warm-Up trip is two nights, three days, and starts on Saturdays. This offer runs until 31 August 2020.
